Clubbing in Fukuoka

Fukuoka’s clubbing scene is diverse and a lot of fun to visit on weekends. Any music taste can be pleased in Oyafuko (親不孝), the place to go for partying in the city. The word “Oyafuko” actually translates to “disrespectful towards parents”, clearly hinting at the nightlife and parties that are celebrated in this street.

If you’re new in town and want to party, Fubar might be a good start. Fubar is an international club with lots of foreign customers and Japanese people who want to improve their English skills. English is the most common language, making it easy to get into conversations and finf new friends.
Other clubs that are definitely worth mentioning are X, Phase 3 and Walnut, all of which feature really good DJs and a crowd that promises nights with lots of dancing and fun.
The biggest club in Fukuoka is called “Cat’s” and is located at the end of Oyafuko Street. It features three dance floors, with music ranging from EDM to Hip Hop, pleasing almost every music lover and dancing addict.
Entry fee for most night clubs is normally around ¥1000-¥2000 and you usually have to be 20 years old to enter.
Have a fun night!
