Shopping in Fukuoka

The topic of today’s Japanese study group was shopping in Fukuoka. Everybody told the group what he or she purchased lately and the students discussed matters such as clothing, food and other things to buy and where in Fukuoka to get them.

After an explanation on how to express that something “looks like (adjective)”, the students were challenged to express how different examples looked like in Japanese, for example: “the ring looks expensive”.

After everybody got a hang of this expression, the students asked each other about what they want to buy the most in the very moment.

It was a fun and informative lesson, everybody learned a lot about Japanese expressions and the likes and dislikes of their fellow students.
