We took our seven students from Tasmania and a student from Japan on a two-day field trip to Hita, Yufuin and Beppu on December 11 and 12. The goal of this trip was to show our students lots of different places since Kyushu has much more to offer than Fukuoka.
After visiting Hita and Yufuin, we stayed at a very cozy hotel that even had its own Onsen. To conclude this exhausting but enjoyable day, we had a very delicious all-you-can-eat buffet.
The next day, we visited hell itself. However one hell was not enough, so we went to see seven of them. All of us were impressed by the atmosphere and beauty of each hot spring.
According to the survey taken by the students afterwards, most participants appreciated the program, saying it was a fun way to make new friends and get to know Beppu at the same time.
