My name is Yuki. I am a student at Fukuoka University and I am doing an internship at Asahi Nihongo. I have met many interesting people from all over the world. It is really fun.
Yesterday, I did an interview with Arne from Germany. He is a nice person and I enjoyed talking to him very much. He told me many things about Japan I have never seen that way before:
I: Hello. I’m Okuno Yuki and an internship student. Thank you for taking the time to do this interview with me.
A: Hi Yuki. Nice to meet you.
I: Would you mind telling me how old you are? Where are you from and when did you come to Japan?
A: I’m a 28-year-old German. I came to Japan on January 27.
I: Why have you come to Japan?
A: To study Japanese. I also want to travel and see many different places, for example Okinawa and Shikoku.
I: That sounds like a lot of fun! What do you like in Japan?
A: Japan is close to the sea, hence there is lots of fish. I love freshly made Sushi. Also, I’m interested in Japanese culture such as Ocha-kai, Manga, Anime and so on. Another point is that Japanese religion has a lot of Gods. I find that very interesting.
I: I see. What was the most surprising thing you have experienced in Japan so far?
A: The cities in Japan are very clean; I was surprised. There is a big difference between Germany. And I think Japanese are friendly and everyone at Asahi is very kind. I like that Japanese people respect each other.
I: I am glad to hear that. Thank you very much for answering my questions.
A: Thank you. You’re welcome.
