Students of Asahi and Ritter School went to a yatai (a mobile vendor’s stall) and enjoyed local street food.
Yatais are very common in Fukuoka, especially in the areas around Tenjin, Nakasu and Hakata. They are good places to meet people from all over the world or to practice your Japanese and talk to locals.
And most importantly, they serve different kind of delicious foods! Our students decided on “Hakata Fugu-chan Tei”, a yatai specialized in serving Fugu (Japanese pufferfish) and other seafood.
Our students had a lot of fun and enjoyed their meals while talking with different people.
Our next yatai visit will be on July, 3rd. We hope to see you again soon!
